Why Grateful Festival?

Because we LOVE Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead!

Who are you and where does the money go?

I'm Tony, and my wife and son are the Grateful Festival home team. We also have some incredibly awesome people helping us. The majority of money raised, regardless of profit or loss, goes back to local Flagstaff Non Profits, 501(C)3's to help support our community! Organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Flagstaff Family Food Center food bank, the Haven Walker Memorial Music Scholarship, and more.

Why Flagstaff?

It's an amazing town, and the people are super-cool and kind. There are gorgeous mountains and fresh air all around us, lots of public land, a ski hill with a year-round lift, and awesome hiking and world class biking trails. The airport (Service to PHX, Denver, CA, TX and beyond) is one mile from the venue! There's even a disc golf course on the property. Many food and hotel options are within a 10-minute drivel in case you don't want to camp on site.

I'm not familiar with all of the bands

Perfect! That's the point. We have been very selective in finding new, old, and unique bands. They have one thing in common: they all love Jerry and the Dead. Some of your new favorite bands are the ones you just haven't heard yet! Grateful Festival has a strict policy to have nothing but awesome bands perform.

How are you different than other events?

We do this all for the love of Jerry, the Grateful Dead, friends and family. No one is getting rich. We charge very low prices on everything because we're music loving fans just like you and no one wants to feel taken advantage of! The more successful the Grateful Festival gets, the more we will invest back into the Flagstaff community and the event itself.

How can I help?

Volunteer! Spread the word! We're only successful because of you. We've had so many Strangers Stopping Strangers, Just To Shake Their Hand over the last few years. Awesome people who helped build stages and guide people to where they needed to be. Taking care of each other is what it's all about.

What if I have special needs or requests?

Please let us know how we can best help you. We love going out of our way to try to make everyone happy! You want to hear Shakedown St? You got it. Want a kosher vegan gluten free item on the menu? Let us know and we'll get it for you.

Is there someone I can speak with?

Yes! I'm Tony and I'm here to help. The reason people love this festival is because of all the awesome people from around the Southwest and beyond. Your new best friends, bands, partners, soul mates - they're all at Grateful Festival, and can't wait to meet you.
